Wicked Weed Makes Generous Gift

This week Rick Guthy, one of the founders of Wicked Weed Brewing in Asheville, presented Pisgah Legal Services with a check for $50,000. 

“We want to sincerely thank the Guthy family and Wicked Weed for their extremely generous gift,” said Betsy Ellis, director of philanthropy for Pisgah Legal Services. “We are fortunate to have a long relationship with the Guthys who have been dedicated supporters for many years. Pisgah Legal Services has also benefited from annual fundraising events held by Wicked Weed since they opened back in 2012.”

Rick Guthy said, “We believe in the work of Pisgah Legal Services and are pleased to share some of our good fortune to help local people who are in need of legal aid.”

Ellis added, “This gift is greatly appreciated at a time when Pisgah Legal Services is facing serious funding cuts. We are so grateful.”
