Upcoming CLE: Legal Remedies for Domestic Violence Victims
Details: Wed, August 9th, 8:30-1:15 at Roberts & Stevens, PA, 301 College Street, Suite 400, Asheville, 28801

The MAVL DV/Family Law Team and Pisgah Legal Services will host a CLE on legal remedies for domestic violence victims, including 50B’s and child custody.

The session will cover topics including: the dynamics of domestic violence, safety planning with victims, trauma-informed services, forms, interviewing, evidence gathering, court procedure, 50C’s, and related criminal charges.

Participants are eligible for 4 hours of CLE credit from the NC Bar. This CLE training is free to all current MAVL volunteers and to any new volunteer attorneys who sign on to take two pro bono cases through the MAVL program in the next year.

Lunch will be provided for $10/person.
