Access the Child Tax Credit
Posted On
If you filed your 2020 taxes, you should automatically receive a $250-$300 per child payment through the expanded Child Tax Credit. If you did not file your 2020 taxes, you can use the IRS non-filer tool to access these payments.
The Expanded Child Tax Credit was created as a part of the American Relief Plan Act (ARPA). Payments of $3,000-$3,600 per child will be made to families. Half of the monies will come in monthly payments starting July 15 through December. The remaining monies will be paid when filing 2021 income tax.
