About the Justice Forum
Pisgah Legal’s Justice Forum will be held at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in downtown Asheville on Thursday, October 22nd. There will be a ticketed, pre-event reception at 5:30pm followed by the free Justice Forum at 7:00pm. There will be an option for live-streaming for those that prefer to join virtually and there will be several Regional Watch Parties in communities across WNC. Ticket sales and registration will be available in mid-August.
As our Justice Forum speaker, Brian Goldstone will challenge us to confront the realities of poverty and housing instability with greater urgency, compassion, and resolve. We look forward to an evening of thought-provoking conversation, insight, and inspiration.

Brian Goldstone is an American journalist and author whose work examines inequality, housing insecurity, and the lived realities of poverty in the United States. His latest book is There Is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America. Goldstone’s reporting brings a deeply human lens to the economic systems shaping everyday life, with a focus on the growing number of working families who are nevertheless unhoused.“The reach of homelessness is expanding. As it pulls more and more people into its grip, we might wonder: Who gets to feel secure in this country? And who are the casualties of our prosperity?”
